I live in Moultonboro for the summer and am looking for sailing lessons for my boys, age 10 and 12. I would also like to take a refresher course myself. Anyone have any info? I know Fay's in Gilford and also Brewster Academy in Wolfboro have offered lessons in the past, but I am trying to find something closer to Moultonboro. Thanks!

My son went to the Community Youth Sailing Program on Squam two years ago. Its about 5 to 10 minutes from Rte 25 in Center Harbor. He had a great time and got his certification. He wants to race on Winni. this year at the program out of Fay's. Here is the link to CYSP : http://www.squamlakes.org/sla/CYSP.htm

Good luck

As you mentioned there sailing lessons are offered in Gilford at Fay's by the Lake Winnipesaukee Sailing Association (www.lwsa.org). Info on the program can be found at http://www.lwsa.org/academy/index.php

Have you found anything yet Zoomgirl?
This might be too far, but NH Boat Museum (http://www.nhbm.org/CommSailing.html) has youth sailing programs.

....but, if I recall, there was a business called Bayswater Boats or something that was a sail boat store. It existed for about three years, maybe 1999, 2000, 2001, or so, and was located behind Murphy's Mobil in M-Boro across from Aubuchon's. Miracle Lawns or Farms, or something, is in there now. And they sold really the best quality, small sail boats like Hunter and J-Boats, and they offered sailing lessons! Unfortunately.....like I said.....this may not be very much help in finding a sailing class in Moultonboro, now.

Yeah, I bought my 17' Hunter from them, the owner is a nice guy. Unfortunately the business went belly up about two years ago.
