Can anyone recommend a good jeweler around the Lake? Big occasion coming up. Thanks.

Lots of good ones but my wife loves Kalled in Wolfeboro. The place has jewelry that is very different from anything else around. Its truly unique to the lakes region. If you are looking for something more traditional I've always been happy with Sawyer's in Laconia. They are in downtown Laconia but I feel like that means you don't have to pay the "tourist premium" for a lakefront location!

Its been a while and I'm not sure they are still there but quite a number of years ago I bought a few items for my wife at Melanson's in Wolfeboro. I was treated very well and received a very quality piece for a fair price from the owner.

Good Luck!

Another vote for Sawyers in Laconia. Jim Rogato is the manager and he will take good care of you!

Again, thanks. Went to Kalled yesterday and was very successful. Nice people, great original jewelry.

---in Meredith -- a few steps up from Bootleggers --she has collectibles as well as stunning vintage jewelry pieces. I bought an 1800s (and just under 3 carat) mine cut diamond ring from her several years ago ---unusual and stunning -- and had it appraised in Connecticut. Was shocked to learn of its value! Bonita is a true lady, who offers unusual estate jewelry at a reasonable price.

I suspect you know that "appraised value" is not the same as "actual sale value in the real world."
