I was just outside down here in MA and noticed about 25 bats flying around overhead apparently having a feast. I haven't seen bats in Moultonboro in a few years, so I'm hoping they are making a comeback.

Funny - we were just talking about this last night. We saw about half a dozen bats over the lake in less than 10 minutes. Hopefully thats a good sign. We've got plenty of mosquitos and black flies to feed them!

Had one flying around in my house a couple weeks ago at 5am. That was an interesting wake up.

We have several flying over Silver Lake in Belmont for the first time in a couple years. There seem to be fewer mosquitos this year- not sure if weather or the bats or combination of 2, but I'll take it.

We had a large group of birds that appeared just after dusk the other day.
The way they were acting was exactly like bats, and at first I thought they were, closer look at them and they were some type of swallows gathering.
In the near dark they looked like bats, they way they were flying and apparently feeding on bugs.

in very small numbers here in Gilford. Happy to see them this year. It was very sad seeing them just dead in the driveway.

We've only seen a few bats around our home this summer and would like to see more. We've had a huge number of Cessna-sized dragonflies that I suspect have been making a dent in the flying pest population, but nothing beats a good population of bats.
