Over the past week I have noticed I am dropping a lot of calls both around the lake as well as on 93 south into Boston. I called Verizon and they said they had no issues but for me 1 bar in downtown Boston is strange and to be dropping calls in the city and lake seems odd when I have never had a problem before. Anyone else?

Sorry if I sound like a "tech guy", have you power cycled your phone recently?

*228 every 3 months

*228 doesn't work on 4G and LTE phones. These update the preferred roaming list on reboot.

After 10 yrs with Verizon I had to change to ATT because Verizon dropped service at my home from 4g to 3g. Of course they had no problem. So now they have no me. Just heard from a former Verizon employee that the have been selling towers and leasing them back. I wonder if that could have an impact where the new owners dont maintain as well?

We both have Verizon phones, both LG.
We have a 2012 Toyota that has Bluetooth, both phones worked when we bought the car, suddenly they both do not. Seems odd that they stopped working after the current law went into effect.
Took it to the dealer, they said it was the phone, not the car's Bluetooth.
Worked well before for over a year, now does not. We can hear incoming, but no one can hear us. They also said the system is geared towards an IPhone

Seems coincidental to me that Verizon also offered an upgrade to an Iphone..
Wonder what they upgraded to my old phones software wise, since I also suddenly have some APP for "back ups" I never ordered or wanted.
I specifically told them when we got the phones we wanted NO APPs.
If I had my way, I'd still have a damned rotary dial on it.

Thanks to DAD, we re-powered, something we don't usually do, and now it woks fine on the Toyota.

that is what I have and I have tried everything but I suspect something is up with Verizon but they are not saying it is them.

Our verizon service worked as usual while we were up at the lake this week as well as everywhere else we went in New England.

My bluetooth also works fine in my Toyota (I have a 2012 Prius V and Droid Turbo).

That is the same time frame more or less that my problem has developed. Seems there should be more news out there about this issue if it is affecting more people but I cannot find anything.

Guess I will call Verizon again and see what they say. My wife has same phone and she too is having the same issue.

Like I said I have powered off and on and I am fully up to date on all Software

Yesterday morning I couldn't post to the forum or check my email, which was not normal at all.

I have noticed a few problems lately, but nothing to the point where it bothers me

We live here, no recent problems other than the normal slow down during very busy summer visitor times. Demand for service is way way up so we all get some slow down. Just like I93.

Very little service in Barnstead - dropped calls, no connections no service etc. etc. No 4G. no 3G, nothing.

Friend of mine is in the industry and this was his comment to me:

"With respect to VZW coverage do you recall what the upper left corner of the iPhone next to the signal strength indicated when it worked well? 3G, 4G or LTE? What does it say now? When VZW upgrades to LTE sometimes the coverage is not as good as they are trying to complete the call on "voice over LTE" which is the equivalent of VOIP. Unfortunately it does not work well in an over the air environment. I believe in the I6 you can turn that off and use the legacy network."

Since I have done this I have not YET had anymore issues...time will tell.

Maybe with all the political activity here in the Granite State recently, this is happening: :D

I've noticed a significant deterioration of Verizon's service in the Woburn, MA area. We have been in the same house for 4 years now and the service has only got worse. I used to be able to use my cell no problem anywhere in the house, but now I have to walk around to get a decent signal. Texting is brutal now trying to get one to go through. Definitely something up with them.

I notice the same thing. With the switch to 4G last year or the year before, I have a strong (4 Bars) 4GLTE signal right in my living room! (Winnisquam). Since spring, I lost 4G and the device shows 3G and at times 1X and only one bar. Calls to VW and they will investigate but never called back! My GF switched to StraightTalk and she has 4G coverage.

I have an HTC One(M8) phone upgraded to Android 5.01

FWIW... I have been watching my Verizon signal here in Alton Bay, from the new tower, and have 4G 3 bars, which is what I have had since I got my Samsung last December. I haven't seen dropped calls or data coverage deterioration. Sorry you are having problems. I really like Verizon.

I live here... I am always Upthesaukee.
