I just saw this on WMUR. I wonder what happened.

That sucks.
This threw me off though:
The fire was reported just before noon.
Police said all three of the boat’s occupants were out of the water at the shore when they arrived.
Crews knocked down the main portion of the fire from the land, and after towing the damaged boat to shore, they were able to fully extinguish it by 2:15 p.m.
Officials said there was no environmental hazard as a result of the fire.

Yes it was in the paper on the 24th which was Friday it says it "happened yesterday."

Not sure what threw you off.

The report has since been updated, which is very typical of WMUR.

Interesting from the pictures this happened over at 19 mile bay....
Does anyone have anymore details? Was it a fueling mishap at the gas dock....
It was all cleaned up as of last weekend, so I had no idea, that last Thursday was so exciting
