RAIN (http://www.betherain.org/)stands for Real Action for International Need. There are various fund raising events throughout the year, and RAIN Dance is one of them.
From the website:
Join us on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the barn at the Inn on Main in Wolfeboro from 6:30-10:30pm for the third annual RAIN Dance Art Extravaganza! This year promises even more spectacularity with a dozen musicians appearing throughout the evening alongside performers like aerialists, jugglers, and hoopers. Visual art will be created, sold, and featured at this unique, quickly-growing event.
Featured artists include singer, songwriter, storyteller Brian Hastings, the beautiful and talented Carolyn and Jessica Ramsay, writer/producer Ryan Ordway, Celtic favorite Toby Moore, and down-home Carroll Piper. Acrylic pieces will be created on canvas during the evening’s festivities, to be sold in a silent auction to the highest bidder. ArtsFEST’s own Erin Lovett Sherman will amaze the audience with her graceful aerial fabric and trapeze skills, while belly dancers, hoola hoopers, jugglers, and fire dancers delight their imaginations.
Welcome, people of all ages, to this magical evening of art, music, surprises, and generosity! General Admission is $20, and includes light appetizers while they last, access to all music and performances, and access to a cash bar. VIP tickets include light appetizers, all entertainment, and a reserved seat at a “community” table of 10-12 people for $30. Guests may also purchase their own table for four ($120) or table for eight-ten ($250).
