Hi - Does anyone know where you might be able to rent an ice auger? My ice eater at the end of the dock stopped and I need to cut a big enough hole to get a back up in the lake. Other bright ideas welcome too. Don't want to chip thru if I can avoid it.

Thanks!

Look for a bob house and go ask to borrow or rent (beer works) theirs!

You may be better off using a chain saw to cut a bigger hole so you can pull your aerator and frame through.

happened to me a few years ago and used a chainsaw, and it was very easy... the blocks of ice that i cut out were about 14 inches thick, and it was easier to push them down in the water and slide them under the ice, than it was to pick them out...

i dropped a new ice eater in and left it going for 48 hours straight and zoom zoom, all the ice was freed up!

looking like solid ice soon! -PIG
