Hi - Need a good dentist in Meredith area. Not just a tooth cleaner, but one that can do filling properly and crowns.

Try Ed Detolla (603) 279-8200. I hear he's very good.

I second Dr. Felt (http://www.meredithdental.com/). We moved up here full time a couple of years ago and he came highly recommended by a neighbor. We've been happy with him ever since.

www.brandandsawicki.com in Plymouth on Tenney Mt Hgwy, about one mile from Walmart .....definately worth the drive from Meredith....two dentists who are also husband and wife.....been there since about 1984....plus a team of all-women patient care coordinators, dental assistants, and oral hygienists.......decent prices that get you the highest super-duper, high quality, Michigan School of Dentistry dental repairs.....plus it's close to Walmart.....and Marshall's too!

With such effective restorative dental care ..... you will look forward to your next abcessed molar ... and needing a good dentist! You will never need to brush or floss again....just go see them!:D;)

Just a warning for one of the mentioned dentists in Meredith.

Since I travel a bit - I have more then one dentist.

I was a regular customer to one of the dentists in Meredith mentioned above.
Routine cleanings.

No issues. Until the last time I went in for a cleaning. The Meredith dentist stated I needed deep gum cleaning or whatever it is called. An expensive treatment usually done on multiple visits.

But, I just had this done 2 years earlier by a different dentist.

So . . . two years later I needed this again? I went to another dentist for a measurement and 2nd opinion. Not needed.

OK. So now we have two dentists with two differing opinions.

I went to a 3rd dentist - again, I travel some. Again, measurements and diagnosis. Not needed.

So why does this Meredith dentist state I need this expensive treatment?
Money, that is it. A money maker. Treatments that are not needed. Treatments that my do no harm but just not needed.

That was 6 years ago. I visit a dentist twice a year - and each time they measure the gums/teeth. I do not need this expensive treatment. I do not go to this dentist in Meredith anymore.

So what does this say about the monetary ethics of this dentist in Meredith?

First I heard of it. Something new? I have all my teeth and at my age I was told I am lucky. So is deep gum cleaning necessary?

I have a fantastic dentist that served the family well. Unfortunately he is in Chelmsford. He also does orthodontics at half the price of others. I went to a couple of dentists in the Lakes Region area and ended back in Mass.

I used that same reason for telling my wife that I needed more then one wife.
It felt good after she stopped hitting me. :D

Seriously though...why would anyone who travels a lot need to have their teeth cleaned by anyone other then their regular dentist?
It seems as though you good fit the cleaning in while you weren't traveling.

If you have good dental cleaning habits such as regular brushing and flossing then I would be surprised if you would need that treatment so soon. Also called deep scaling, I had it done 3 years ago ultrasonically. I am kind of weird as I actually like having my gums dug into between my teeth with a little pain involved. My dentist thinks I'm strange. I'd have to agree.
