News says solar flare on Wednesday means Auroras tonight and tomorrow, possibly visible as far south as Manchester!

We're heading out to the Kanc for some darkness...

Faint but visible northern lights in progress as of 20 minutes ago.

Looks like the Weirs.. nice catch, I didn't see a thing from Lake Shore Park, spent a few hours, but no go :(

It was fun to see so many people out looking, but the Lights didn't happen from that Point of View out over the Broads.

Looking due north to Three Mile from our dock about 8:30pm there was a nice green/bright showing on the horizon with some of the traditional "undulating glow"... it lasted all of 10-15 mins... and then kept checking later every once in a while and nothing more...

But it was fun while it lasted! -PIG

It was fun to see so many people out looking, but the Lights didn't happen from that Point of View out over the Broads.

I second that. Spend about 3+ hours on the porch watching and didn't see much. But from looking at that pic above, maybe we did and just thought it was the glare from the sun that set earlier. Started watching about 8ish and finally went in about 11 but kept checking after until 1pm. It was a great night to start watch though and enjoy a nice drink and cigar with friends.

that's amazing footage, thank you for sharing!! What we saw from PI was about .00001% of that

Brrrrr, cold on the island last night, but the water is still warm enough for a refreshing swim -PIG

My passengers on the TMI launch got a nice light show heading from Shep's out to the island. I was too busy keeping a lookout for buoys and other boats...
