Oriental Rug Cleaning?

I am looking for a local business that will clean an older, 8x10 oriental rug. I am in the Meredith area and would be able to bring the rug to be cleaned.

This was my grandmother's rug that has spent the last 30 years in a household with several children, and many, many pets. It is in need of professional cleaning.


Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I am originally from MA, and I also have an antique Oriental rug from my grandmother that is at least 95 years old. I need to get it cleaned also. In the past I have used, and highly recommend, Gregorian Oriental Rugs in Newton, MA - on Washington Street in Newton Lower Falls. They have been in business since 1934 and are well known and respected. I don't know of any reputable dealers in NH. This is Gregorian website:

You may want to call Jodi at American Cottage in Gilford. She designs and sells some very nice hand knotted Nepalese rugs and I am sure she can recommend someone.

By the way if you have never been to American Cottage its well worth the visit!

There was a respected rug dealer on Nashua's Main Street that cleans oriental rugs. Perhaps someone from Nashua can fill in the blanks.

I lived in Newton for years and am aware of Gregorian Rug. Hopefully I will find something closer...

American Cottage is AMAZING. If you haven't been there, you should find the time to go. Even if the products are beyond your budget, you can come away with great ideas. I will call Jodi and ask for a recommendation.

I will call Persian Gallery also, although I am hoping for something closer.
