Took these yesterday at my place in LSP.

think the top one is a Red Breasted Grosbeck, the yellow one has me stumped.

i went through all of my field guides and can't find anything that has those colors and an orange beak.

They are both large birds, about twice the size of a typical sparrow.

Paul, If your out there.. I bet you'll know.

You are right about the first bird; it's a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak. The other bird is as others pointed out, indeed a male American Goldfinch. The saturated color of the beak is normal and varies through life cycle and season.
