Need Island Cottage Roof Cleaned (moss)

We are interested in finding someone to clean the moss off of the roof on our cottage on Cow Island. We would also like to have a zinc strip installed to help prevent moss growth in the future. If you have had this work done, or know of someone who has, I'd love to hear feedback on the results as well. Thanks! :)

Thanks for the product recommendations...unfortunately, it isn't something that we are unable to do ourselves. We're looking for a contractor to remove the moss and apply a zinc strip. Any suggestions on who we might contact?

Based on the thread from last summer I used Wet and Forget on my roof about two weeks ago. For those of you that have had good results, how long should it take for me to see results??? I applied with a pump sprayer and a "slightly" stronger mix ratio than recommended. Thanks!

Depends on the severity, it took about 6 to 8 weeks for my moderate moss situation to loosen enough to be washed away by rain storms.

That is about what we experienced. While the lichen had turned color in that time, some took longer to wash away.

I tried Wet it and Forget it, on a section of roof last summer. I saw the moss starting to Brown, after about 1 week. Full effect and total browning took about 3 to 4 weeks, and after about six weeks it was starting to wash away with the rain.

This spring the spot I treated is still void of moss, unfortunately, I didn't kill it all, and it has spread to more of the roof. So up on the roof this weekend and treating the entire thing.
