Has anyone ordered and received new chart from Duncan Press this year? I ordered one back on 2/14. I got an e mail that new published charts would be out 3/28. Haven't seen anything yet. :rolleye2:

Thanks all for your input. I e mailed a couple of times several weeks ago and no response. What I ordered----- 8.5" x 14", laminated 5 mil, printed both sides, and SIXTEEN PAGES held together by a plastic comb----no longer appears on their site. I mailed a letter to them last week asking for an update with an e mail reply. Nothing!
That other thread (http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17149)was one that I started.
Unfortunately, I found that Duncan Press is not very good at replying to emails. I had to send a few before I got an answer.
They have a couple of different email addresses. I'll try to look them up and post them here for you. (see my post below for the email addresses)
I'm not impressed with their customer support skills. ;)
Even though one of my questions was answered, another never was answered even after I had sent 2 or 3 emails to them. Not a good way to do business these days. ;)
My question was about a 'download' link I had received via my online purchase on their website. The download never worked. I wasn't even sure what the download was for. So I sent a few emails telling them that the download never worked, and asked what was the purpose of the download link? I never got these answered.
At least my chart did arrive (see the earlier thread for my review (http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/showpost.php?p=221718&postcount=6)) of the chart.

I think poor customer service is extremely distasteful. I found it hard to do business with companies like that.
Here are the two email addresses I have for Duncan Press:
Duncan Press: sales@duncanpressinc.com
Sally Fichet: sfichet@speakeasy.net
I can't say that either of these helped to get a better response.
In case you need it, here is their mailing address (maybe ask for a refund):
Duncan Press Sales
PO Box 1253
Center Harbor, NH 03266
I hope this helps you and good luck!

My order was placed on February 23rd and my credit card was billed. I am not happy about their lack of response to this issue!
I just emailed them and gave them to the end of business today to respond or I was going to have my credit card company back charge this order.
Poor Duncan Fichet must be turning in his grave!!

I am not happy about their customer service but feel better that it is not just my frustration. I did e mail several times to the Duncan Press and mailed a letter to the PO box as well. Will try the "speakeasy" e mail. Next will be to call cr. card company. However, that charge was over a month ago now. Once again, thanks everyone for your input.:(

You have up to a year to file a back charge on your credit card. You be will issued credit immediately.
Edited on 4-9-14 to add: After repeated attempts over the course of a month to contact Duncan Press about never receiving my order and after being completely ignored, I decided it would be in my best interest to simply have my credit card company back charge Duncan for this order that was never sent. My credit card company issued credit immediately and without question.

I am happy to report that Sally Fichet has contacted me. She apologized for the delay and explained the reason. I can appreciate what she is going through and will be patient. :)Here is a copy of her e mail. I’m sorry you had to wait for service for your laminated chart. I’ve been alone for a couple of months, but that is no reason you had to delay your order. You are one of the hundred or so users who take Lake Winni very seriously, as I do. You deserve better.
I lost my laminator when I increased the size of the laminated chart. I’m still dealing with other laminators, and I hope to have a final one soon. Meanwhile, you’ll just have to wait a little longer, unfortunately, while I’m tearing my hair out.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Sally Fichet
A reply like this goes a long way! Too bad you had to send so many emails to get an answer.
Small businesses have challenges, and often 'we' customers are very demanding. ;)

That was indeed, a nice reply. I'm sure it's tough being all alone plus having an equipment malfunction/shortage. A sincere reply like that goes a long way (with me anyway). I ordered the folded laminated map and received it in 3 days. It won't replace my Bizer but I like it; it's a different look and I'll always have both of them on board to use with my Humminbird.
