I know that the ramp a Gillians is run by the state. What other ramps are "state controlled"? I don't mean ramps like Center Harbor or Meredith which are owned by the towns.
Thanks for the leg up.

...The ramp at Downing's Landing, in Alton Bay (Near Gillan's).
Supposedly, the reason the State wanted to purchase Downing's is because they had no State access on the lake, and it was close to the New Durham Hatchery. Also the building "could" be used for offices, especially during the summer.

The list on that link must need to be updated as the state ramp at Downing's isn't on it.
Is this state access or just town and whats the difference? I have seen many people launch from this site. Does it matter if its a town launch vs state?
The State of NH has purchased parking lot and launch ramp formerly Downing's in Alton Bay last fall. Don't know about gas dock and dock building.

Glendale is owned and managed by the Town of Gilford for the benefit of Gilford tax payers. There is one section of public 3 hour docking; otherwise use of the ramp and parking is limited to Gilford permit holders and guest pass holders. Much of the docking is reserved for Gilford island residents.
