My hairdresser/ stylist is retiring in April. We spend late spring and summer in Laconia. I have seen the sign for Lakes region hair care across from Funspot. Anyone been there?

My husband will go nowhere else for a haircut. He keeps telling me to try it, but I like Miami Hair Salon in Center Harbor-great for color.

Thanks.i don't think I realized it was a male salon. I might try the hair factory in Gilford. Any one been there?:)

LiSasha's Beauty Lounge in Gilford is fantastic! They're prices are reasonable and it's very comfortable in there. They're right next to Wild Bird Depot.

It's not primarily a male salon, but like most salons now they do male haircuts too.

My wife has a question about LiSasha's Beauty Lounge .....

Do they do 'nails' also ?

If not where, would the women on the Forum has any recommendations?

Thanks,
BD

Both Sue and I use Beth over at Salon 831, next to Fratellos in Laconia.
Great cut, color etc. Been using her for years.

Depends on what type of nails she is looking for. They do manicures and pedicures, massages, etc. I remember at one time she was doing tips but they weren't acrylic. Not sure if she's still doing that. They're website is:

I do know that the only acrylic nail salon around that I like is Star Nails on Main Street in Downtown Laconia. Otherwise, there is a new one opening up at the Walmart Plaza next to Sally's.

Hope this helps!

we moved to the area - so this is one topic I am exploring- any thoughts you wish to share beyond what is already in the forum?
Thank You !

For nails try Key Nails located in the Belknap mall. Great service and fair pricing.

I went to Nails 2000 in Belmont, next to Baron's. I was very pleased. I had a pedicure before we went to Florida and after a month of walking on the beach and in the sand, it still looked great. The owner is very nice and the shop is clean. The price is right too. $35 for a mani and pedi.

If anyone is looking for a stylist in the Moultonborough/Center Harbor area, I highly recommend Mary at Fashion Forward on route 25. The shop is very clean and modern and Mary is wonderful!

She's not my regular hairdresser. I usually use someone in Hudson, NH, but I am in need of a salon for special occasions (usually lake weddings) and Mary has come through for me on several occasions. Two thumbs up!
