I can't believe I'm commenting on this. :look: Looking at the WolfeCam today..there is a sign today that says you can't park in the public parking lot between midnight and 7:00AM because of snow plowing. :look:.......O..KAY

There is a person who lives in an apartment adjacent to that parking lot. He has a RED car that usually occupys ONE space in this parking lot.... The ONE AND ONLY car taking up space in that lot.....after hours.....This car has been mentioned before on this forum. I guess this guy is screwed now. Oh Well. Maybe he can park out in the street..?? NB

If the parking spot that the red car usually occupies is owned by the Town, then he will have to move or get a ticket/towed. Just because he rents does not make it the towns responsibility to provide a parking space. That is up to the landlord.

It is GONE because the "plowing" (i.e. snow removal) has been DONE. If you don't understand, after every snowstorm is over, during the next day or two, public works brings trucks and loaders into the entire downtown area and while the rest of us are sleeping, they pick up and remove all of the snow/snowbanks and take it all away. There is no place to "store" snow downtown.

No there is no place to put the snow. In the old days they used to dump it in the lake but of course they are not allowed to do that any more, so they haul it away.

Points Well Taken. I wasn't aware that Wolfeboro Carted Away the snow to somewhere else..But it makes perfect sense in today's world.

I just had a thought: By all accounts the lake has a "Mil-Foil" problem...YES..?? And at some point... We Stopped Dumping snow into the lake. Do they coincide..??

SO: Maybe if we Resume dumping Snow, Salt, Road Residue, and minor Road Kill :) into the lake...maybe the Mil-Foil would...would ...Cease to be a factor. Just wondering.......

Not a Scientist..Just Thinking. Sometimes Simple Minds have the answer. :D NB

I have wondered the same thing myself, NoBozo. I am sure the salt did help keep the milfoil as well as other weeds away. How could it not?

I put salt in my fresh water fish tank to help the fish. Should work the same way?:rolleye2:

A little winter snow and road salt in the lake might even tamp down the dreaded Duck Itch. :D :D Nah........................NB

As I'm sure it will help the natural fish, cray fish, good vegetation, etc. :rolleye2:
