I see it's been through several iterations to get where it's at right now. Let's see that out in the Broads on a rough day! :)

I don't know, I think I'd still rather have my 25 Outlaw; space to lay out in the sun, a cabin to escape the sun when I need a break and also a place to change clothes! :)

For $100k you can get a decent boat and a decent car. I think that this is purely a curiosity. However, someone with more money than sense might show up with one just to be different. :D

It seems as though the car (or is it a boat), planes reasonably well. However, in rough water it is clear that it could sink if waves come over the gunnels (or is that doors). I don't think that conversion vehicles do a particularly good job for either purpose. Companies seem to be fascinated with cars that float or fly. Maybe too much James Bond.

A few cars like it have already been here. Amphicars (http://www.amphicar.com/) on the lake:

We are in Meredith Bay an these cars are regular visitors in the summer. Probably 3 or 4 times every year and typically several cars each time.

Realistically, an island owner could really benefit from one of these. You could "boat" to any boat ramp and drive the rest of the way without worrying about docking. I could finally go from the island to Sawyers! But, not with a gang of people.

I'm surprised that the "duck boat tour" type vehicle hasn't invaded Winni. Ride around the perimter on land, drive in somewhere and back to the beggining via lake.

I work practically next door to the duck tour boats in Boston, so I see them all the time.

That jeep thing though would be cool to commute into town, I could just drive into the Charles river and boat my way in with no traffic.

Pretty sure there were duck boats on Winni a while back.

Duck boat tours were offered in Weirs Beach for a couple of summers in the early 2000′s.
