I am holding our annual summer party for my company in late August at the island. I am looking for a musician or band in the area to perform for the afternoon- someone that can do some good summer time tunes.
Last year we had Ryan Ordway and Curtis Gray (season 11 American Idol). They were great.
Any suggestions?

is a local favorite. I was mildly surprised to see him at a private function in York Maine last Sunday. He said he traveled all over NE.
Ryan is in Wolfeboro. He opened a recording studio as well as play at various functions around NE.
Both have a hectic schedule, so give them a call ASAP.
You can always call Annie Paquette to see if Annie and The Orphans are available. There is LA East in Laconia but they play 60 and 70's.
Unfortunately Joey D and The Bombers are not available as Joe passed away.
Lisa Guyer of Londonderry is also a local favorite. She is the female singer for Sully Erna's Avalon.
I could go on and on but these are the local favorites.

Hey folks,
I've been lurking for many months, but just couldn't hold back from this thread. :)
Two suggestions for musicians:
1) The Moose Mountain Jazz Band (http://www.moosemountainjazzband.com/)
2) me - I sing and play a wide variety of music, from old time Gospel to Folk to Light Rock. I don't have a website, but I'll be playing with Lance (leader of the MMJB) tomorrow (8/3) at Tumbledown Farm from 10am-1pm. Their address is 295 Wentworth Road (Rt 109), in Brookfield.
Thanks!
You can also try to Old Bastards from the Seacoast. THey have a website and play the seacoastfairly regularly. They play 60's & 70's, hence the name. Can get a crowd up dancin

Argie's band, Bittersweet, may be a band for you to consider. They've played on the Mt Washington, the bandstand at Alton Bay for the July 4th Celebration and other events, like Old Home Day. I've attached a flyer for your review.

I would recommend either NO LIMITZ or 2CANDU. They are both Classic Rock bands. WWW.NOLIMITZ.ORG - is a 4 piece band. 2CAND.COM is a 2 piece band with the sound of 5 people. Their web sites show the type of music they play. Journey, Styx, Kansas, Bad Company, and many more. They are all local musicians to the Lakes Region. Steve can be contacted at 603-455-1987

I play bass with an Acoustic Rock Band, Bend the Ride. You can check us out at www.bendtheride.com as well as on Facebook.
Hope this helps,

Still looking around, we are looking for more of a reggae/island/summer type band, not really the rock cover type.
