Hi all,
Long time reader of these boards, and first time poster. I've been spending time in the Lakes Region for nearly 40 years and enjoy catching up on what's going on in the area, especially as yearly vacations approach.
I'm asking for a little local knowledge as far as driving to this year's Sprint Cup race at NHMS in Loudon this coming Sunday. I will be staying in Laconia for the weekend and figure I'll head straight down Route 106 to the track. I do plan on tailgating well before the race, which starts at 1:00.
Does anyone have experience with taking this route? If so, what time do you regularly leave? I'm assuming I'll find a lot north of the track, for an easy exit back to Laconia where I'm staying. Does anyone have a favorite lot, or any other tips for getting in and out of the track?
I've been a Patriots season ticket holder for years, so I'm assuming it will be a similar traffic situation. I just figured it might be a little less traffic if I was heading north after the race instead of back towards 93, where the majority of the crowd will be headed.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
