Power is OUT in this part of the lake. No power on Rattlesnake and Sleepers Islands and I see no lights on the mainland in West Alton (Smith Point, etc.). Looks as if all of West Alton is out.

The NHEC says no restoration until tomorrow morning - we'll see.

Oh well, at least, I finally got to test the generator setup - all is well with that, so far.

Anyone have any ideas on the outage cause? I haven't been able to dig anything up as of yet.

...and just east of 11A and before the 1st left turn, there was a birch tree leaning out over the road, and a wire hanging down next to a pole. Lights were out in all the houses in the area, as well. Think the tree took the wire down. This was about a little after 10, I think.

We left the island mid-day on Mon to take a visitor to the Manchester airport...and due to the lousy weather we decided to stay at our home in Bedford until things improve. I just saw this post about the NHEC power outage that impacted Rattlesnake Island and I was wondering whether anyone would be able to tell me how long the outage lasted (I'm concerned about a substantial amount of "good eating" that's in the freezer). I used to be able to find this info on the NHEC site....but couldn't find anything about past outages there (could only find info on current/existing outages). Does anyone know how I can access details about past NHEC outages on-line? Thanks.

The outage wasn't that long with respect to refrigeration. It was out for no more than 4 hours or thereabouts. I can't tell you exactly because I was somewhat sleeping at the time, but the lights came on and I heard the fridge come on. I believe this was between 1:00 and 2:00 AM.
