A Formula???...My God,man....think about it....the radical enviromentalists on Meredith Neck will start a web site to prevent it. That is a performance boat....shame on you....don't you care about the loons?
Lakeport Landing...Thumbs up. I've dealt with them (sales and service)and alway had a plesent experience.
And don't listen to samian , as I've heard loons actually like Formulas "> .

I looked at the Formula 260 Bow Rider but decided against it because of the seating. Your passenger/wife or significant other will either be stuck to you (think hot summer day!) on the narrow "love/drivers" seat or facing the stern on the other front seat. It is a well made boat and I would have bought it if not for the poor seating arrangement.
I opted for a Four Winns 260 bow rider. It was much less money and had two very comfortable forward facing front "bucket" seats.
Good luck with your choice.
samian,
No offense taken.Truth of the matter is , loons don't like Formulas or any other boats more than likely .
I was kidding too

Have had 9 boats now and by far Formula was the best. Lakeport Landing is tops also. Service dept delivers what they promise. Never had a bad experience and kept my boat there for 8 years.

I bought from lakeport last year (and again this year). I also traded in my 23' four winns to get the 28' formula. you can't even compare these two boats (nor can you on price).
I put over 150 hours on both the boats in one season. after 150 hours, the four winns was feeling all those bumps. lots of stuff loosened up over the summer. I had to tighten quite a bit of bolts on too regular a basis.
the formula survived the summer extremely well. handles the bumps much much better. I didn't have any problems. so, I bought a bigger one this year. can't wait!!!
we also thought we had to have a bowrider. our 23' four winns sat 10 people, but it was tight. normally we had two families aboard. usually four adults and four kids. it was tight. when we were looking at a formula in the beginning, we thought we needed a bowrider. turns out, the cuddy 260 almost has as much seating as my 23' bowrider, but with a nice place to sleep or put the kids down for a little. it ended up being very nice to have the cuddy.
and can't say enough about lakeport service. they are great!!
