Replacement windshield

I have a 1993 18' stingray and just realized a tree branch broke the windshield. Both the side windshield and half of the front curved glass windshield. Does anyone have someone they have used in the past to replace a windshield?

I guess I just prefer to use a dealer for replacement parts because I have had good results in the past. This is not to say that parts are not available through other sources, but, if there is a problem with some detail, or some quirky design issue, the dealer is more apt to be able to resolve it because of the dealer/manufacturer connection. Dealer loyalty has paid off for me with automobiles, too. I always take my vehicles back to the selling dealer (or another dealer of that make if I am out of the area) for routine service. My experience is that if the customer shows dealer loyalty then the dealer is going to respond with appreciation and better service.

PS: I really do not want to get into a discussion about loyalty and the pros and cons, I am just stating my opinion.

thank you camp guy your right if this were a newer boat I would probably contact the dealer. In my case this is a 1993 that I did not pay a lot for but it is in good shape and runs good. When I realized the windshield broke I didn't worry to much figuring I could call a marine glass company and they would order and install a new one but I am finding out this is not the case.

I believe Taylor is the supplier/manufacturer of that windshield. Try a search there.

I had to have a glass panel replace on my Liberator. The glass repair shops cannot replace the glass for reasons of their own. Calls to 4-winn dealers result in a replacement glass at the Melvin Village dealer. The dealer had one in inventory.

Sometimes I see replacement parts on EBay. I suggest you try to google the part and see what you come up with.

I've found that it is very difficult to find old boat glass. It is expensive to buy the equipment to manufacture and there are tons of different boat shapes. So either you get lucky and someone in the Stingray supply chain has a piece lying around, or you find some at a salvager (boat junkyard). There are few if any aftermarket replacement manufacturers for boat glass.
