This is the only one I see advertise in the local papers and the owner is the one who lost in the last election Joshua Youssef. I know one person that brought there computer in to have more memory added and it was fine. Staples down in Tilton will also look at them on site. Not many choices in my opinion.

This is the one next to Kevin's. They say they have an office in Wolfeboro but I haven't been to it. I have been in for parts and brought my laptop (Dell) in for service. Unfortunately my screen was going so it wasn't practical to fix it but they set me up with a secondary monitor that kept me going until I got my new laptop. Reasonable prices, good people.

I highly recommend these folks if you ever head down to the Rochester area. http://www.rx-computers.com/rxcomputersservices.php

RX computers - 25 Gonic Road (right off Rt. 11 and 16) - 603- 335-0800

After speaking with three other computer sales and repair shops in the Lakes Region and not being satisfied, I drove 35 miles to Rochester to RXCOMPUT (javascript:handleTextShowMore("7");)

Same Day Computer's phone # is not in service so I assume they've moved.
Thanks for the other suggestions, but I really want to stay in Laconia, if at all possible.

Try youtube. There's tons of instructional videos about how to repair stuff, especially laptops. ebay is a great source for parts for laptops. I replaced the keyboard, mouse buttons, and power connector on my daughter's Toshiba laptop using instructions from youtube and $26 (including shipping) worth of parts from ebay. All parts were all plug-in and the only tools I needed were a pair of screw drivers. I repaired the mouse button on my wife's Toshiba for free using youtube.

When I worked in the Rochester Staples, had a good number of customers I dealt with that had work done by RX. All satisfied. It is about a 25 minute ride down there from beautiful downtown Alton.

Just get on the Spaulding heading south, get off at exit 12, and take a left. Go about a 1/2 mile and you will see them just before Wild Willey's burger joint.

About the same amount of time to go to Laconia, unless you live in West Alton. :)

I used Same Day Computer down on Rte 3 in Belmont. Work was done but I felt overpriced. I have used Lakes Region Computer in Center Harbor several times and have been very satisfied.

I used the one right near Laconia High School. They did what I needed done, a virus problem, and did a good job. The price IMHO was a little steep. $120
Very nice young man, so I can't really complain they solved the problem.

yes Jeff that is the one. They also did a tune up on a desk top that had a lot of junk. Were very reasonable in price

I find them way overpriced. My laptop died and they wanted to charge me $300 to backup harddrive to transfer the documents and settings to the new computer. Best Buy in Concord will do it for $80. I bought a gadget that will allow me to read my hardrive from a USB port for $40.
I not only able to get my photos but gain another harddrive for backup purpose.

What is wrong with the laptop? If it is slow I suggest you download IOBITS Advanced Care. Try that and see if it helps. It does wonders for me.

I do computer repairs and desktop support. You're welcome to PM me if you want my help. I usually help people troubleshoot their problems for free or for a small fee (if it's an intense troubleshooting problem). I'm familiar with PC and Macs and currently working on my Apple Certification. I'd be happy to meet you at a local place with Wi-Fi, like McD's or the Gilman Library. I'm the techie who will tell you straight up if you need to take it somewhere else or I can't help you.
