View Full Version : Winter Scenes
It's about 24 degrees here and the wind is 15 - 25 mph, which really blows the snow around on the ice. Here are a couple photos taken in between wind gusts.

Great photos DRH.
Sometimes we forget what it like out there, when we are back here in the highrise downtown.
Hope the wind dies down... :coolsm:

How do I transfer this photo to my desktop? It looks great from my perch down here in Naples.
I have an Apple computer.
Thanks

Great shots Don. Glad I got my power back after being out over 15 hours so I could enjoy them. Temps must have dropped just enough to get a little powdery snow to fall, 'cause most of it is heeeeaaaaaavvvvvvvyyyyyy!!!

Thanks for sharing those photos, Don. Y'know, as I was driving to work yesterday, and the sun was so brilliant on the snow, I was thinking to myself "Don must be out here with his camera!" Looking at the bent trees and laden power lines, I kept thinking this scene is somewhere between a Winter Wonderland, and a Winter Horrorland! Beatiful to behold, horrible for the fire departments, power companies, and shovelers!
Glad the power seems to be restored everywhere, and things are getting back to normal.

Scary, though, when there's no heat, and there's a little baby in the house. That was the case in Meredith.
I, too, am making one of these my wallpaper. I can feel my cheeks turning rosey just by looking at them.
Great pictures. :)

DRH,
Thanks for the great pictures. Wish it were next Saturday and we were already there. Hope the snow lasts until next weekend for the Winter Carnival at the Bay and for Island Girl to use her snowmobile.
How do I transfer this photo to my desktop? It looks great from my perch down here in Naples.
I have an Apple computer.
Thanks
Sorry SL ... I don't know anything about Apple computers so I can't help you. Any other Apple users out there?

How much snow did you all get?
We got a total of about 10" of heavy, wet snow in West Alton.
