I would recommend Sean Byrnes, small shop that builds docks for larger dock companies around the lake - He built us one and was very accommodating with extras I wanted (an exceptional craftsman) 603-254-7996 - good luck

Call Watermark - 293-4000. I noticed you emphasized "RELIABLE". There are certain companies that are not. Be careful.

I'll second Watermark.
You may here some complain about their prices but I have never heard any complaints about their work or work ethics.
I have no affiliation with them but I have worked on two new Winni island homes where they were used. Great guys.

I don't know how many times we are going to say it in different threads, but I will also say it again. Raise a Dock does do exellent work. They did three docks for us.

Watermark & Production Dock(Raise A Dock) are the same. Watermark bought them last Nov(see 11/27/12 post). Hopefully they will still make the same kind of dock that Raise A Dock did. I was interested in getting one this year.
From previous threads there are other Raise A Dock locations around the area. Maybe that also has changed.

Dave: I believe they are different businesses but I could be wrong.

I believe they are different businesses too. I don't think Dennis sold.

I got a brochue from them last year and Production Dock sells Raise A Dock. The brochue is from Raise A Dock with the Production Dock label with address and telephone number, see attached. Obviuosly they must have had an arrangement with Dennis, maybe not. The people were great to deal with because in getting the brochue last year they spent time going over my questions but it seems to me if you eliminate the middle man and go direct you may save some money. Heading up this weekend so willl probably stop in to see if any changes are made since Watermark has bought them. I also called Dennis and he's sending me some brochue's

Dave M

Hopefully the attach works.

I have been shopping aluminum crank up docks for my property on Lake Winni, and the two best prices I have gotten are from Raise-A-Dock in Sanbornville and Northeast Dock Store in Gilford where Watermark used to be. I can not speculate on quality of either of these two companies, as I have never worked with them, but from what I have seen all of these docks are pretty standard so you might as well get a good price.

Watermark and Production Trailer and Dock are now one in the same.

Raise a Dock is a company based out of Sanbornville, NH. Production was a dealer for them. I wouldnt be surprised if they stick to Watermark's own product but have no information on that-just my opinion. Raise a Dock is about 10 minutes from my office.

ProLine Trailer also makes a line of seasonal docks. They are in Milton, NH. Within sight out my window... I think their product is good for small bodies of water or quieter areas of the big lake, but would not want to put one in on the broads. They are more of a cash and carry situation. They build a great trailer too.

Stick with Watermark if you have a troublesome lot.

I think the biggest problem you will face, at least with Raise-A-Dock, and likely with others, is that you are late ordering and therefore it may be tough to get the dock installed this spring.

Weld-Fab in Gilford, can make them in a week. Who knows how long it will take to get a permit though.

You get what you pay for...I am sure most anyone can produce the dock reasonably quickly, however, if they can do it too quick this time of year you probably have the wrong supplier. All quality dock builders should be extremely busy right now! If they are not, that would concern me.

Call Watermark, they'll do the whole project with proper permits on time and on budget in a professional manner.

Doc Doctor, Weld-Fab has made all Watermarks for the past 10 years. My comment was more directed to people who want to build it themselves or contractors getting docks for the homeowners. Watermark jacks there prices way up so cut the middle man out and get them from the source.

Well, we got in touch with Diversified Docks at the Gunstock Home Show and spoke direct with Dave Farley and he came right away and gave us a quote and did the work and we could not be happier. We wish this was something we were able to do years ago. The dock is now stained and looks gorgeous. This week they came and put it up for the season! Dave and his crew were courteous and pleasant to work with! Thank you everyone for your suggestions.:)

What type of stain did you use and what type of wood was it. We have new cedar decking and we weren't planning on doing anything- should we?
