Sled Dog Races Cancelled - Laconia Winterfest Still On!

Due to the dismal snow conditions and recent melt down,
the 76th Laconia World Championship Sled Dog Derby is cancelled for February 11th – 13th 2005
There will be no postponement date due to other race conflicts.

Laconia Winterfest is still on!
Including the Human Sled Dog Race
Saturday. February 12, 2005
8:00 am - 4:30 pm

8:00 am - 10:30 am Pancake Breakfast at the Belknap Mill
9:00 am - 4:00 Winter carnival activities
4:00 pm 3rd Annual Human Sled Dog Race

Too bad the dogsleds had to be canceled especially since now it's supposed to snow the day before the event starts.I guess that leaves more snow for the human sled races.Mush! Mush! you human dogs!! SS

Damn you are right on. No matter what the heck is going on, your right on top of the event. Please do not stop as you are the best link to everything that is going on around the lake. Please keep up the great work and you really can take some time off and get some shut eye every once an awhile. :)
