Folks,
I have some friends who have ATV's and Snowmobiles. How do they get out onto the ice? Can they do this from Weirs beach?
Thanks,
Ms Merge

Your best bet is Gilford Beach. They keep it open to everyone for the season...Glendale is another spot but you need a sticker to park there.

I don't think that they enforce the Glendale sticker requirement in the winter, the regulation states April 1 through Oct 31 only.

We looked at Glendale today, very easy ice access.

There is not much ice at Glendale, at least not on Saturday when I checked. Be careful if going out there because it thins out VERY quick as you walk towards Lockes Island. There was 6" at the end of dock #1 and 4" thirty yards further out. My fat arse wasn't going out any further to check!!
Gilford Town beach had a very solid 10"-12" on Sunday for a couple hundred yards out. Didn't look that great much beyond that.
