There is a donut house next to Moulton Farms in Meredith. They have three kinds of donuts, cinnamon and sugar, maple and a third I can't remember. They come warm in a bag and are the best donuts I ever had. They are 6 for $10.00

That's not bad for 10 donuts...but it is kind of high for 6. :D

It's not the quantity...it's the quality. If they are really amazing, they might be worth it. I think I'll check them out.

The cinnamon suger are the best especially warm. I beleive the third flavor is plain and they occasionally run a special flavor. All the baked good in Moulton Farms are excellent, I love their home made bread.

The donuts are made by the wife (and staff) of Rob Stephens, the retail manager for Moulton Farm. They are completely fabulous. I dare anyone to eat just one!!! Oftentimes, they have samples at the checkout counter at the farm. YUMMY, excellent, fresh products.

Seems like everytime we buy goodies from Moulton Farm they're all eaten by the time we get back to the cabin. Good stuff!

If the Moulton Farm Cidar Bellies in the place where you bought the doughnuts (donuts) then 6 for $10.00 doesn't coincide with the sign they have outside the building.
The sign states $1.00 for 1 doughnut (donut) and $9.00 for a dozen. I can't make out the 1/2 dozen price but it doesn't look like $10.00.

I got it figured out. I used to go to McD's many years ago, and wife and I got the same thing every time, and the kids got happy meals. I would give my wife pocket change back out a $10. She went one day and got a dollar and something back...called BUSTED...had to own up to getting a small fry for the ride home.....In this case, easy solution...like me, someone is getting way more donuts than a half dozen, and eating them on the ride home.

Now I know why a donut contains so very little calories- Ha Ha!

When I heard they had these donuts (about a year ago now) I had to drive right down there and get some. I bought 1/2 dozen and i believe they were $5. They are soooo good. I was thrilled to hear they were selling them not only in the fall but all summer also....Not sure if they sell them all winter or even if they stay open during winter..They should. We love Moulton farms for everything they sell!!!:)

If you want a huge donut for a huge price then Tom's Jumbo Donuts at the Fryeburg Fair is the one for you. Notice the long line waiting to get a donut.

They go good with french fries, sausage sub, fried bread dough and a diet coke. :D

For those nearer the southern end of the lake, the Chichester Country Store on Rt. 28 (at the Main St. shortcut) has excellent cider donuts. My favorites are the ones with cinnamon & sugar coating. Last time I stopped they were $7.95/dozen. Super good. Rattlesnake Guy & Gal also make the detour.
