Farm Stands - Wolfeboro area

Hi,

We are now happily living full-time in the Wolfeboro area. But one thing we are finding we miss from our past, central-MA/Nashoba Valley home, is ready access to good farm stands.

In the area where we used to live, you couldn't go more than a few miles before stumbling upon a year-round farm operation that sold locally produced products almost every day.

We know of several farmers markets. But most are only 1 day a week and close after this weekend. We've also found Devylder's, which is the type of place we are looking for. But it would be nice to have other options, and ones that are not as far out of the way for us as Devylder's.

Recommendations appreciated, Alton area is fine too.

It's not a farm stand, but...Fiddlehead Farms in Alton has a similar vibe going, and they're open year round.

Spider Web Gardens sells produce, but it's the end of the season, so the selection is a bit thin now.

Moulton Farm (Center Harbor/Meredith line) would be another place to try, although I'm not sure if they're open year round, and it's a bit of a drive.

Ledgewood Farm is in Moultonboro. Seasonal...only open certain days...but they have good stuff.

Nice farm on the back road from Alton Circle to New Durham. Also one on Rt. what ever out of Rochester up to Wakefield. Farm is in Milton I think. You will need to take a wider drive. And has you do you will come to learn what all new NH residents eventually learn. Everything in NH is at least an hour away from everything else.

Moore Farm is in Alton, about a mile, maybe less, from Hannaford. Heading to New Durham, it is on the left where Kim's Kiddie Korner daycare was located.

Where Kim's Kiddie Korner WAS located. That is useful. Sort of like "you turn two miles up the road where the old red barn was before it burned five years ago." Hello - Way too many people in NH give this type of direction about where things used to be. Almost as bad as my original post where I have no idea the names of the roads but know exactly where I have been and am going.

...but I was responding to the post by Merrymeeting who is from New Durham and most likely would have driven that road many times. Kim's had a rather large sign out that was a real eye catcher.

Moore's farm does have a sign out there as well, and I did say they were located about a mile from Hannafords.

Sorry to confuse you and I will try to be more concise in the future.

There is a farmers market one day a week In Wolfeboro. I went last week and lots of great vegetables and corn there. Always behind the Clark House museum.
