Ramp access from the south

I will be travelling from RI this spring to do some fishing. Any suggestions as to which boat ramp I should use? Also is there a charge to use the ramps and what are the charges?

Can you tell us the area of the lake you are planning on staying?

Many locations are pay ramps and several are free.

I was planning on a couple of day trips a month. Not sure if I will be staying overnight.

Ames Farm in Gilford is on route 11 and I believe they are $20. Alton Bay is free, but boat trailer parking is on the "Letter S Road", about a mile from the boat ramp. You can also check with West Alton Marina 875-7788. They have a gas dock right there.
