Hard to believe that we've got more summer days behind us than we do in front of us. I hope all y'all are having a good season. I know the Argelets are having the best summer ever - we've been very busy.

Alton's Home Day is Saturday, August 11 - I was able to find a brief schedule online - the town's website had nada about the event - so I'm not sure how accurate this is:

AUGUST 10
Father/Son Campfire Picnicv @ 5PM

AUGUST 11

5K Road Race- 9AM

Craft Fair - 10 AM to 5 PM

Vintage Boat Show - 9 AM to NOON

Parade - 2:30 PM

Bingo For All Ages at Alton Bandstand - 4 PM

Co-sponsored By Meredith Village Savings Bank

Fire Department Chicken BBQ @ Central Fire Station on Rt 140 - 4 PM

Concert- Echo Tones at the Bay - 7PM

AUGUST 12

Craft Fair 9 AM to 3 PM

Mother/Daughter Fairy Party - 2PM

Hoping the weather clears enough so we can enjoy all the events!
Argie's band will be playing in the parade in the afternoon, and the oldest Arglet is marching with Scouts - hope to see you there!

Sorry the schedule isn't that great - I got this (above) off someone's blog post because the town website had nothing about a schedule.

Had a great day beginning at the Gilmanton old home day and bean hole beans, all the way to the fireworks at Alton Bay tonight. Quick thinking on someones part when it started to rain at 8:30pm and people started to leave they started the fireworks and the concert continued also. I like it like that.
After a spectacular display the concert continued until the rain drove everyone off.
If they had waited to the scheduled time it would have been a washout.
Kudos
