Only posting this to offer an extra ticket I have for the event.
I got three tickets, but will not be using 1 of the tickets.

I have that one available for anyone that wants it. (It's free)

She will be at the Laconia Middle School. Doors open at 1 PM, ticket does not guarantee entrance. Both parties always distribute more tickets than space allows to be sure the hall is full.

First Come First Served, I can meet anyone that wants the ticket sometime this evening, or Thursday morning in the Laconia/Gilford area.

PM me to claim the ticket and arrange pick up.

Better you than me. I have a feeling there will be plenty of room. Have fun.

I have no intention of getting into a political debate or even admit which party I'm privy to, but I just wanted to say that your generosity touched me SteveA.

I guess that was easier than I thought it would be.

That's all.

Carry on.

You really shouldn't bite your tongs... you might chip a tooth.

I wish I could be there but I won't be up there tomorrow. I would have loved to use the ticket! She is such a special lady who is an outstanding example of what a first lady should be. I wish she was the one running for President. Take care and enjoy tomorrow's meeting.

She is no Jackie Kennedy, but she is still the First Lady and does deserve some respect. Remember it isn't Tricky Dickie.

Hmmmm....let me think....

Perfect example of what a first lady should be: Michelle Obama or Laura Bush?

I'll take Laura Bush any day of the week. She had class.

i don't think this thread has much to do with the Lakes Region anymore.

Couldn't agree more that Laura Bush was excellent. Her emphasis on improving reading skill was terrific, and she is a classy lady.

I also think the cause Michelle Obama has chosen to work on, childhood obesity, is critically important, and she is also doing a great job. I think she is also a very well spoken, classy lady.

I agree... started as a simple offer of a free ticket to a legit Lakes Region event, and like other threads, morphed into something else.

I'm out! :)

I think it was awesome of SteveA to offer the ticket.

(I would love to be able to take him up on the offer, but I can't spare the time today.)

I might give her and her terrorist hubby a little respect if they weren't blood related to Osama Bin Laden... Just saying...

If you follow these guidelines the moderator will have nothing to do:
Remember that you're on the Winnipesaukee Forum & PhotoPost

Only post messages, pictures and comments that are directly related to Lakes Region topics and activities. No sports, religion, politics or chit-chat please.

Use Public Media Standards as a Benchmark

The tone and content of your message should meet the same general standards required of a newspaper column or "Letter to the Editor". Before you submit your message, ask yourself if it would be accepted by the editor of a newspaper or magazine.

Be Polite

Always show courtesy and respect, even when you strongly disagree with another person.

Have Something to Say

This is not a chat-room. Not all messages must be momentous but we prefer messages which actually contribute something. Try not to post one-liners or "chat-room" like replies.

Don't Flood

Don't post excessive numbers of messages or comments. Posting more than a few messages or comments in a day is excessive and may get you moderated or restricted.

Stay on Topic

When replying to another message, try to stay with the topic of the thread. Open a new thread if you want to change the topic.

Check Your Spelling

Good spelling and grammar are held in high regard on this Forum. Please use a spell checker and reread your message before and after posting.

Don't Post Nonsense

We can't define it here but we know it when we see it.

Take Your Agenda Elsewhere

If you are here to conduct a crusade or push an agenda you'll have a problem with the moderator. Members are expected to participate in a friendly and helpful way and to respect everyone's views and opinions.

between legitimate political discussion and argument. There is a very broad line between political discussion and poisonous ignorance....but we have managed to cross it. We need some moderation and to end this thread.

Her visit to Laconia is related to the Lakes Region and is a valid topic for this forum. When Sarah Palin visited Weirs Beach in 2008 pictures and comments were posted here and Romney's recent visits to Wolfeboro have been discussed.

However, this is not a forum for national politics and information about her visit should not turn into debates about her and her husband's policies.

I've received several "Reported Post" messages. I'm going to close the thread so the information can remain without further political comments.
