Floating Rememberance

After hearing about the tragic loss of Lt. Mark Miller of the Laconia Fire Dept. I was wondering if there might be some interest in having a floating rememberance at the Weirs this spring. My original thoughts were to say a prayer for him and his family privately, but I thought that it would be fitting to see if there may be others who would like to gather in his name. Please respond if you think this is appropriate, and the logistics can be worked out thereafter.

Rink, This is a very sad story and I think your intentions are thoughtful. I'm wondering what kind of floating rememberance you have in mind? My prayers go out to Lt. Millers family, friends and all the brave men and women of the Laconia fire department. May they find comfort and peace at this tragic time.

After giving it some thought, I realize that what may have seemed appropriate to me might not be viewed that way by others. I was really touched by what happened and wanted to do something, but now I see that there is probably no way to tastefully and respectfully realize my thought. I can only hope that no offense was taken by anyone. My thoughts and prayers are with Lt. Millers family.
