Airport/Runway in Melvin Village?

Does anyone know anything about the Flying H skyport in Melvin Village behind the Pine View Lodge? Is it private or open to land? Useable? Just wondering.
Never knew it was there before.

That's interesting. I didn't even know if it was still there. Carl Hansen had it for himself. He had the motel and his house behind where the airstrip was (is?). He had experimental planes.

It's private and it was recently sold.

It's on my May 2009 New York Sectional..as "Flying H" with a 1500 foot runway. (Private.) That's a short runway. :D NB

Yes Carl had it for himself. It was recently sold but is not useable.
