To all Rattlesnake residents- Power apparently has been out for a couple of days. (hence, Snakeeyes not updating??) You may remember that many new electric meters were installed last summer, unfortunately the entire system is not yet installed, which would isolate the area of the needed repair. Thus the problem of isolating the repair area.

So we do not know where the problem is on the island. It is divided into 6 electric zones and it would help to get power restored faster if we could give guidance to electric company on where to look.

Obviously this impacts the dock bubblers, etc that people have running.

If you can check if you have power remotely in any way, it would help. Some have answering machines, etc.

Thanks. I thought it would not hurt to try the forum.

It is my understanding that Sleepers, or at least the part seen from the mainland, has power. this suggests that the problem is on Rattlesnake. Snake Eyes is near the center of the broadside of the island. I believe the power is also out at the northwest tip.

The power company cannot get there with the ice conditions so we will just have to wait.... Unless someone has a helicopter and can lower the NHEC guys down, we will have to wait for solid enough ice for the airboat or open water.

Ah, the joys and tribulations of island life!

Russell Scott got a call from power company and they believe problem is on Sleeper/mainland not Rattlesnake.

So... problem solved????? For now
