I will be purchasing a used (almost new) wood-burning, "fireplace Insert", and will need installation services.

Can someone recommned a good 'mason', who is familair with this type of installation.

Flue damper will have to be removed, and a adapter flue extension installed to top of wood insert. I am told that this is a custom fit for the wood insert being installed, and that every 'insert' is different ? You would think this would be a universal fit for the most common fireplace dimensions?

If anyone has had a fireplace insert installed, I'd like to hear about your experiences.

Thanks,
Bigdog

I installed my own but never connected it properly liked you are going to. It worked fine I probably should have done it right. I don't use it anymore so I lost interest. Mine is a double wall with a fan and boy does it put some heat. Good luck.

There are two or three generations of the Houston family in the north part of lake. Any one of these guys does an excellent job.

We used Fire and Stone for chimney cap repair this summer. For a reasonable price they did what they promised when they said they would.
