Hi Everyone.
My parents are coming up for Christmas and I'd like to take them to a church service in and around Wolfeboro. They are First Congregationalists, but open to other variations. I am hoping to find a lovely candlelight service where they sing the traditional Christmas songs. I also need to know what times the services are so I can plan our dining out for that night.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
Cate
Cate, thanks for asking the question as I was about to ask the same thing. :)

We've been "church shopping" and I liked this one a lot because the people were warm and friendly. I also like going to midnight mass even though I'm not Catholic - it's always a beautiful service to watch.

Great recommendation. I called the church and they are having a musical prelude followed by a candlelight service. Perfect. The pastor, Thom Christian, (yes his real name) was wonderful and welcoming.
After the service we are walking across the street to the Wolfeboro Inn for a warm, fireside dinner.
Now all we need is a little snow!!
He is a very popular Pastor.

be careful what you wish for. NH does not know what a little snow means. Merry Christmas to all.

Cate,
You should check out the service at the Cotton Mountain non-denominational church up on Cotton Mountain in Wolfeboro. It's worth a drive up there just for the scenery. We've never had a chance to take in their Christmas service but have heard great things about it.http://sandyspiano.tripod.com/cottonmountianchurch.html

My bride and I will also be at both places for the evening and really look forward to visiting a new church and giving the Inn a new and fair shake.
Cate maybe we will be able to see you and say hi and wish you and your parents a Merry Christmas.:)
