dpg:
It was the Stumble Inn (although there might have been one in between that and Buckey's.) The Stumble Inn was actually owned by a classmate of mine from high school (Bedford, Mass.)
I totally don't recall that place? I think there was another name in between. Thanks!! Anyone else?

I believe it was a Mexican food restaurant for a short time just before Buckeys but I can't remember the name.

Tortilla Flats maybe? I remember it being Mexican cuisine...just don't ever remember it being open.

Could it have been The Cantina?
For a while it seemed like there was some one who was tired of working at a up-scale restaurant or a big Hotel that would try to foe-fill their dream of owning a restaurant here in the Lakes Region. I remember a young couple opening it up as a FRENCH Restaurant. I don't think they made it through the Winter.
Grilled Steak Tips, Clam chowder and French Onion Soup are the best of anywhere at Buckey's

Lena's was next to the entrance of Balmoral. "Lena's Pizza" I remember that as a kid.

I do.
The man who originally built the building and operated the first restaurant was Dick Porter and he lived in the small apartment downstairs.

Yes, MarkinNH, Dick is the person I referred to in my post - he was my classmate!
