This should make FLL happy. The Meredith Rotary Club will host the 20th annual Senior Christmas Dinner on December 4 at Interlakes Middle School. Full turkey dinner with all the trimmings served at 12pm. It's free to residents over 55 years of age from Meredith, Moultonborough, Center Harbor and Sandwich. Reservations must be made, as we can only serve 300 at the event. Food will be prepared by Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant and served by Rotarians with help from The Circle Girls. Entertainment will be provided by Maureen Salvoni and Ron Chase. Each participant will receive a gift bag containing treats from Moulton Farm and Annalee Dolls - and a small holiday plant. There will also be a raffle with many holiday themed items to be given out by Santa. To make reservations call 279-7600 starting November 1 .... see you there!

Contact the Alton Senior Center 875-7102 and ask for Amy - she's the coordinator there. The senior center offers a daily lunch program and the food is pretty good from what I hear. They have a meals on wheels program. There's speakers, entertainment, games, and lots more. You can usually find a good game of BINGO there, and always a good game of cribbage - my fav. They also have internet access and several computers they got there on a grant.

So yes, I'm sure they have turkey dinner waiting for you, as well. :D

Pleased to say that while the Senior Citizen Center on Pearson Rd is being remodelled, the Masons in Alton have opened their Masonic Lodge to the Alton Seniors during this time, allowing them to have room to meet and a place to cook the meals on wheels. And AW, you are correct, they have a wonderful program headed up by Amy. She is an absolute jewel.
