Hi Guys,
well I took the jetski to a friends house about 45 minutes from the lake. When I got there I did a look see at the trailer and well it looks like I smoked one of the bearings. THe normal greenish black grease, was now almost dripping out of the Hub bearing a grey color with some white foam bubbles.

Obvioulsy not safe enough to travel any further.

I would like to change the Hubs or think I should. Question is I have never done it before but seems managable.

It is a 4 lug rim. on a Single space Caravan jetski trailer. Does anyone know how to find out what hub I need. I would like to get sealed ones to not have to worry as much as I do.

Also any advice on how to do it would be great.

I usually use Etrailer.com when I have time, otherwise I have had good luck getting parts at R H Scales in Westwwod MA (they have multiple NE locations) http://www.rhscales.com/

It is a pretty easy task. You may not need to replace the entire hub, but the bearings most likely need to be replaced. Don't forget to replace the inner bearing races as well.
However, It might just be easier to buy a hub with bearings already installed, but it is obviously more expensive.

Pull the hub and bring it with you to the trailer store. You need to know the I.D. (inner diameter) of the hub, as well as the number of bolts.
Lots of places carry trailer hubs, including VIP auto parts (at least in Manchester they do).

Thanks Chip, Will have to make a drive up to NH where it is sitting to do it, oh well, Might be a project for the spring at this point, with the way the weather is starting to look,

if anyone else has any idea or has the same trailer that might have the info it would be great

thanks again!
