Thanks for the kind words. Its nice to see the lake have time to recover from so much use in July and August. The glassy water is as much a result of no wind as it is of very sparse boat traffic. We usually get up another time in December before the boat is winterized....looking forward to one more day this year!

I hope to be taking pictures like yours next year. i am planning on spending some cold weather time on Cow next fall. What are you using for a boat? I'm assuming it's an outboard, or can you keep an in-out safely in the water at this time of the year??

I have a 17 foot Whaler I keep on a trailer. I do have a larger boat in a rack but that gets winterized fairly early on. I actually had the Whaler in the water in April, dodging floating ice, and will try one more day in December. Having the extra boat on the trailer really extentds the seacon on both ends. For me its well worth towing it around.....

I just took a peak at Snake Eyes and the water seems to have a bit of chop. It sees it has finally turned to November. The tempurature here has dropped a good 20 degrees since yesterday.

Yesterday morning the temperature here was 57 degrees at 7am. By 7pm it had fallen to 35 degrees, and at 10:20am this morning it's 26 degrees and very windy. We had a wind gust of 55 mph last night around 8pm!
