The broads were looking more like the ocean and I went over the bridge at Downings at the end of Alton Bay, and had to stop to take this picture. 2 ft waves right at the bridge, rocking the Carver docked right there at Downing's.

I guess I'll keep the boat at the dock. No fun going under the bridge in this wind!
I was working around the house today and was attacked by pine cones.

Most of the webCams showed some pretty hefty rollers on the Lake today, as well. I was always more of an adventurer and enjoyed getting out on the lake. Sometimes she'd get a little wilder than me when I had other passengers aboard being caught in a weather outbreak that was unexpected. However we are all still around after all of our many great years of experience living on Lake Winnipesaukee full time for so many of them.
I got caught out on the broads more than once when you couldn't see land over the waves!
Now, having a very close relationship with our dear Lord, and Mother Nature, they sure teamed up ( in my case ) and kept me around here for some reason? :) ;)

Power was knocked out on West Bear, but the NHEC crew, led by John McKinley, had it back on before dark!
Thanks, Fellows!

October 16th last year. About the same conditions, crazy wind. The boats were banging against the docks. I had never seen this part of the lake so mean.
