Chowderfest has moved this year to Funspot! It's still $5 admission, but you GET $10 in Funspot tokens with the paid admission! There are vendors outside the tent this year, from 10am-4pm, but the actual Chowder tasting will be the usual Noon-3pm. :liplick:

That's kind of a bummer. I was looking forward to taking one last boat ride to the Chowda Fest in Meredith again this year.

Is there a list of all places competing?

Bummer. Hesky park is a better venue.

I understand that Hesky Park was no longer an option, as the town no longer permits the Chowderfestival tent stakes. I think it was due to fears about the irrigation system underground. Why *this year is anyone's guess.

Sounds more like a remuneration issue.

thats too bad, we enjoyed taking the trip by boat last year.
Probably won't make our way up to Fun Spot this year.
Does the Town of Laconia allow functions like this at the Beach? it seems like a perfect oppurtunity to attract people to the Weirs.

Too bad we don't see many of the same restaurants year after year but it's understandable. It can cost upwards of $1,000 in product and payroll to enter and that's a pretty big hit for any business, especially when times are tough and charities are needing more help than ever.
It's a lot of fun, though and good bragging rights if you're the winner.

You probably wouldn't be taking the boat anyways. Rainy weekend on tap.
