We saw a lot of color starting on the way up to the lake today. Keep in mind that the trees right next to the lake in the above photo will be a week or two behind the areas several hundred feet from the water. The same way the water helps keep us cooler in the summer when the water is cooler than the air, it keeps the air warmer in the fall when the air is cooler than the water.

Unfortunately our raft will have to be out of the water by Halloween so the pumpkin will be on shore.

When you head into Green's Basin our house is the brown one on the right just after the no wake zone ends. The pumpkin was right there on our raft. I kayaked and floated around it all afternoon. I'm sorry you couldn't find it. If you PM me I will meet you on my jet ski and show you where it is.
