I was just up in the Finger Lakes area (NY) this past weekend. Some trees had already started turning...any signs up at the lake yet?
I saw a swamp maple turning a crappy maroon/red and a birch tree across the inlet that is turning yellowish. Lets hope it doesn't happen to soon as we have plenty of summer early fall partying to do yet.http://i56.tinypic.com/vgtt93.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/15firux.gif

I was up last weekend and you can see the tops of trees and some branchs already turning. The 1st one to go is the big Maple I beleive it is, that is in front of the yellow bldg at the top of the hill on rt 25 after the school. It was definately turning last weekend. Get the rakes out (oh wait, I can burn now)

The swampy areas around Lee's Mills are starting to turn.

I already had many leaves drop on a couple maples here in southern NH.

We rode our bikes just under 215 miles thru the Kancamagus and some trees were turning.
Some are already turned and falling in this area.

Mrs. SteveA took these today in Belmont.
Beavers have built a dam and created a marsh just off Rt 106.
Love the reflections on the 2nd picture.

Nice shots. Looks like a picture puzzle I once did.
