Does anyone know of any house(s) or cottage(s) to rent in the Lakes Region that would be able to accommodate a very large group this summer?
About 20 of us have vacationed together at the same place for over 30 years, but unfortunately the family that rented us the cottages is getting out of the business.
I'd love to hear from anyone who might have any ideas or suggestions.
Thanks.

I would suggest checking out the Heritage in Tuftonboro. (http://www.heritageonwinni.com/)
When we first started coming to the lake many moons ago, it was called Pick Point Lodges but was then sold and became the heritage. I am not sure if it is run the same way, but when it was Pick Point they had several small cottages that people could rent. If you are all looking for a common building, this would probably not suit as well but it is in a beautiful location and the facilities were great as I remember it. Like I said, not sure if it's what you're looking for but it might be a good starting point. Good Luck.

You can look it up on the Winnipesaukee Home Page. Dick and Linda Duarte are the owners and are great people. There are 3 cottages on the property and 1 large house. Very nice property and docks, check them out, they might be able to accomidate you. They are in Alton.

Hi
As I recall, Preferred Properties (I think in Center Harbor or Meredith) has listings that include some pretty large houses on the lake. I know somebody that rents out their house through this company, it's an 8BR place, maybe not big enough for 20 though!!

I had a class reunion here. There is a big lodge and several cottages right on the water! The owner has a yacht and loves to take guests out on his boat. There is a sandy beach and accomodation for those who likes to come by boat. It's on Goose Point across from Pine Island next to Meredith Neck. :coolsm:

We've stayed at Oliver Lodge three different times. Never had 20 people, but know that they can accomodate that number. It is a nice place that is very child friendly. I would highly recommend taking a look.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I looked into all of them, and we ended up booking the Oliver Lodge for a week this coming summer. Thanks again.

Hi JG:
Is the family that you are referring to that is 'getting out of the business' the owners of the place on Manning Lake? (where I know you have been known to frequent)....if so, Will they be selling it? McD
