Found this steam boat recently in Meredith waters. Hand measured it at about 40’. I would call it a steam launch but could have been a full blown steam boat, roof and all;

Pointed at both ends, just like the 40’ steel hulled vessel off the Weirs, vs. fantail or flat. Wood not metal hull though. Classic 1800’s-era construction. Hull in great shape. Fore and aft topsides still there. Looks like so many to have been scuttled-no machinery but a drive shaft about 20 feet long still there. Looked for a name etc. nothing.

Boat lists to one side exposing entire hull and keel; No holes that I could see. I will photograph it sometime. Not on chart.

Scans make it look like different vessels but of course it's the same steamer. I will try for some better scans another day.

Don't ask why these weren't attached.

Dove this again recently; I figured after seeing it again there really isn't much in the way of trashing that can be done to this wreck so it can be found at:

43 39.284N
71 29.697W
Map Datum: WGS-84

It is in decent shape and a big vessel.

Careful diving here-traffic is a problem; Go mid-week if you have the choice.

Are Google Earths coordinates inaccurate?It shows those numbers you gave located quite a ways from where you marked it.

The coordinates are good; Though not exact they are off by just a few feet when you compare the L/L I posted and the L/L in the Google Earth image.
