I am planning on driving up from the Jersey Shore at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning to beat traffic. I have an appointment in Wolfeboro at 1 p.m.that I CANNOT miss. Any advice on my travel plans?

Not to be too snarky, but leave earlier.
Since I'm a Bruce fan I used Asbury Park as a starting point. Google tells me it's slightly under 7 hours which is under normal circumstances. Saturday of July 4th weekend won't be normal circumstances.
Not sure what your route is but if you're going to be going the 495 route you'll be in Lowell, MA at just about 10 AM if you don't hit any traffic. I'll let others who battle the ride from that area onward chime in, but assuming a three hour ride from there to Wolfeboro on a holiday weekend is probably being pretty optimistic.
Edit: Oops - didn't see your location before I posted. Still close enough to be on the mark time-wise though.

I travel to Englishtown several times. I learn to not take I-95. From 495, I would take Rte 3 through Nashua to 293 to 93. After that. Good luck!
I'm glad I live here. :D

Agree with "leave earlier." Not enough time. I always get fooled when coming from that direction...whether it's all the way from MD or just from NYC.
Also agree with route 3 through Nashua rather than 495 to route 93, but there will be bottlenecks at both tollbooths (Merrimack and Hooksett).

I am so glad I posted this thread. I'm going to leave a LOT earlier and if I arrive in Wolfeboro a LOT earlier, I'll just find a nice place to park and take a power nap;)
