On June 4, 2011 at 8:30am in Center Harbor and Meredith, the Meredith Rotary Club will be working to clean the bays of trash, winter detritus, etc. If you are free for an hour or so, and can lend a hand, we would welcome your help. Bring a rake, wear some gloves and Wellies (if you have them)!! We will have folks in boats and on the shore picking up all kinds of stuff to be properly disposed of. We couldn't do this last year due to the Milfoil treatment, but two years ago, all kinds of fun stuff was found - including money!!! So, come help keep the bays and beaches clean. See you Saturday.

Excellent Idea.. other then the Meredith Rotary ( Which helps with everything), In Meredith, is Church Landing, Mill Falls, The Camp, Largo's, The Mobil Station across from the docks, The ice Cream stand next to the town docks sending anyone to help out. It seems they ( The Group ) seems to benefit the most from having THEIR TOWN cleaned up.
Yes, I agree, everyone benefits from a clean town, But the Organization that owns a Town on a lake should kick in a few people. Its only fair don't you think?

Thank you donnamatrix! :)
In today's "The Meredith News" there is an article about the cleanup day. I hope there is a big turn out so that the bays can be free from trash.
Glad to see that the trash will be picked up and disposed of by the Meredith Department of Public Works.
Here is the article:

Donna, Did anyone from that organization call to say they will be there to lend a helping hand?
