ON May 21, I will be spending the day with Nancy Cowan, the founder of the NH School of Falconry. If anyone attended the NH Fish&Game day about a month ago, you may have met Nancy, her husband and their falcons and hawks. I am tremendously excited to do this. Will be working with a Harris Hawk and a Peregrine falcon (fastest bird alive, pulls 7Gs when they plummet from the sky to snag prey). Will post an update.

Well, my hubby is a non-participating attendee - meaning he gets to watch and take lots of photos! I hope they turn out as well as the pix that Airedale takes. I recommend everyone go to next year's Fish & Game day-it's free, it's fun, Nancy and her birds are there, the Squam Lakes Science Center and Audubon do presentations F&G has a Kid's Fishing Clinic, similar to what they do for us during the Meredith Rotary Fishing Derby in February. I will post pix and comments!

I bet you are excited. How wonderful to have such an opportunity. I also hope we get to see some photos and get to read some tales. This sounds so exciting. Have fun! :)

I would love to do that. I spent a day at the British School of Falconry in Manchester VT a few years ago with a Harris Hawk. It was awesome to be able to work with the birds. Do they need volunteers?
